We’ve completed a first round of research with women in Nigeria around one hypothesis sourced from the GE D&I team relating to counseling and education for vaginal insertable products:

If women are provided education, counseling, and the opportunity to try new vaginal insertable products (like the dapivirine ring), they will show an increase in user acceptance and sustained interest over time.




We’ve partnered with women in Northern and Southern Nigeria representing 5 Pathways vulnerabilities segments. Specifically, we’ve conducted:










We’re continuing to engage these women between research cycles via WhatsApp, following up with targeted questions.

Following these initial focus groups, we transcribed, translated, cleaned, tagged, and reviewed 35 transcripts and uploaded this data to the Labs Platform.
